| Before I get started, I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Lithasblot/Lammas/Lughnasadh! Blessed be!
The rune of the day is:
Gebo!
This rune teaches us that giving gifts is just as pleasing as receiving them. The rune itself speaks of gifts, both of sacrifice and generosity. This rune is associated with a few Gods and Goddesses, such as Bragi, the Asa-God of poetry, eloquence, and wisdom. Vana-Goddess Gefion, a shapeshifter and goddess of fertility, un-married women, and virtue. Asa-Goddess Sif, goddess of the harvest and Thorr's wife, which, if you ask me, is interesting since today is Lithasblot! Last, but not least, Sjofna, the goddess of love and a possibly lesser-known goddess. Gebo is associated with the colors of gold, silver, and red! | |
